A Journey to the Land of Peace: Our Go to to Hiroshima
It was a quiet early morning when my mom, father, brother, and I boarded a practice from Kawasaki to Tokyo. From there, we took a bus to Narita Airport, prepared for a journey we knew can be each memorable and emotional. At 7:30 AM, we boarded our flight to Hiroshima – a metropolis without end marked by historical past. We landed round 9:00 AM, with blended emotions of pleasure, reverence, and reflection.
There was one thing particular within the air of Hiroshima. A way of calm and stillness surrounded us. The streets whispered tales of the previous – of unimaginable loss, but of energy, rebirth, and peace.
After arriving, we shortly purchased bus tickets and sat down for some tea and lightweight snacks. However by the point we completed, each bus had already departed, and we didn’t even notice. Confused and a bit misplaced, we approached a close-by Japanese employees member for assist. To our shock, even though we have been solely 4 passengers, he instantly organized a particular bus only for us.
That second really revealed the guts of Japanese tradition: selfless service, deep respect, and kindness with out hesitation. Even in a bustling metropolis, we have been handled with care that felt private.
Round 12:30 PM, we determined to have lunch. As destiny would have it, my outdated good friend Bishal Khadka runs a Nepali restaurant close by. When he heard I used to be in Hiroshima, he messaged me instantly:
“You need to go to! I received’t allow you to depart with out assembly!”
He welcomed my mother and father and our complete group with nice heat, heartfelt respect, and conventional Nepali hospitality. We have been miles away from Nepal, but the meals, the laughter, and the shared language made us really feel really at house.
As we completed our meal and ready to go away, I seen a quiet emotion in Bishal’s eyes. He stated, “Seeing your mother and father at present jogged my memory of my very own. I felt like I noticed them once more by way of you.” That second, filled with unstated emotion, was deeply touching.
From there, we continued to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum – a spot of studying, silence, and deep historic fact.
There, we found why Hiroshima was chosen as the primary atomic bomb goal:
In 1945, Hiroshima was a significant navy command heart for the Imperial Japanese Military. It housed military headquarters, provide depots, and key communication networks. Its flat geography and former lack of bombing made it a transparent candidate for measuring the bomb’s full harmful power.
As we walked by way of the displays, we noticed charred clothes, melted watches, burned college uniforms, letters, and tales of harmless lives misplaced immediately. Each piece in that museum appeared to hold a voice, whispering:
“This mustn’t ever occur once more.”
It was not only a museum – it was a silent cry for peace, echoing throughout time.

Conclusion
This was not only a journey.
It was a journey by way of historical past, household, id, and fact.
We have been reminded that peace is just not a given – it’s one thing we should perceive, defend, and worth each single day.
And Hiroshima gave us that reminder in essentially the most highly effective method attainable.
